What is the difference between the Christmas Menu and the Autumn/Winter menu?
The Christmas menu is a set menu specifically designed for the Christmas party period. Anyone who would like this menu must book in advance, pre-order and pay a deposit. The Autumn/Winter menu are our ‘pub classics’ menus which change seasonally. You don’t need to book or pre-order to use these menus (unless it’s for a booking of over 8 people, in which case we will require a pre-order).
Can groups ‘mix and match’ between menus?
Unfortunately, it is not possible for some people in a group to use the Christmas menu and others to use the Winter menu – the whole group must all order from the same menu.
What is the maximum group size?
The maximum that we can fit in our 'end restaurant' is 25 people on 2 separate tables, or 20 people if all seated on one large table. If enquiring for a group larger than 20, please send us an email with more information, and we will do our best to accommodate your group's needs.
Does everyone have to pre-order for the Christmas menu?
Yes, for our Christmas menu, everyone must pre-order.
How does pre-ordering work?
Once a booking has been made, guests will be sent the menu, pre-order form, and booking information. This information will explain everything in detail, including how to pre-order, but our staff will always be on hand to help with any difficulties.
Does the Christmas menu cater for Gluten Frees and Vegans?
Yes, some options are naturally gluten free/vegan, others can have ingredients swapped to make them gluten free/vegan. On the pre-order form there is a section for guests to inform us of their dietary requirements.
Is there a Children’s menu for Christmas?
Yes, this is not a set menu so a deposit won’t be needed and each dish must be paid for individually. Please inform staff if you need the Children’s Christmas menu.
When is the Christmas menu running?
It starts on Thursday 27th November and will finish on Tuesday 23rd December. It will not run on Sundays or Mondays – the only exception is Monday 22nd December where the menu will be served in the evening only.
What is the 20% off offer for Christmas bookings?
This year, the lead person of each booking will get a 20% off food voucher for use in January. This will be given on the day of your meal. Think of it as a way to thank you for your hard work – we know that being the organiser of a group meal isn’t easy!
Are we serving food Christmas Eve/Christmas Day/Boxing day?
We are serving food from 12-4pm on Christmas Eve – this will be a special menu made for the day, not our Christmas set menu. We are not serving food on Christmas Day or Boxing day, but we will be open in the bar. Our bar opening times for these days are: Christmas eve 12-6pm, Christmas day 12-2pm, Boxing Day: 12-6pm.
Do people have to pre-order for Christmas eve?
Christmas eve will be a specially made menu. Only groups of 8 or more will need to pre-order.
